The above figures are from a TEXAS "Unit and Description" form.  The document is undated but notations in various pages and equipment listed places the date after 1931 and before 1942.

Evaporator Capacity

  • Primary:  24,000 gal in 24 hours (per TEXAS "Unit and Description" form, but the 9 Sep 1927 "The TEXAS Toreador", lists 30,000 gal per 24 hour period.  From 1914 to 1925, the Lucky Bag and Post Office were located here).
  • Emergency:  12,000 gal in 24 hours (The capacity is listed in the title of several drawings of the emergency evaporator system.  The compartment was a coal bunker until the 1925-1926 modernization).
