1918 Dry-Dock: 20 October - 4 November
During the aforementioned time period, TEXAS was in a Royal Navy floating dry-dock, located in Jarrow Slake (just east of Newcastle, England). The facility was operated for the Royal Navy by "Smith's Dock Company Ltd."
The publication was provided in 2006 by the Local Studies History of the library in South Shields, England. South Shields is in the immediate area where the headquarters for Smith's was located.
While TEXAS is only a part of document, I made an exception to my limiting material that pertain only to BB35. The document contains very interesting information about ship repairs during World War One. Well worth the read for those with an interest in the maritime aspects of the conflict.
