Photographs - Ship's Exterior

The above links display BB35 photos in which the camera was located off ship (in the air, on land or on another ship).  Most have text to identify why the ship is dated as it is and some  modifications that altered the ship's exterior appearance.  For a more detailed text-photo presentation of the ship's exterior changes, go to the home page, scroll down to "structure" and click on "exterior time line".

Many of the photos are not dated but dates could be determined.  Looking at exterior ship features, geographical location  I correlated feature differences with some limited but specifically known changes, such as the 20 Oct - 4 Nov 1918 addition of the enclosed Pilot House.  Some were determined based on known US Navy Yard Periods.
